The workshop teaches you to make new paper using waste paper, that is normally discarded. In the first session, you learn the process of recycling paper and in the one - creating utility and gift items from the obtained Handmade Paper like paper bags, caps, boxes, writing pads and other items. Some sunlight is required to dry the wet paper prepared

Magic from Castaways

Make interesting things out of scrap. Turn a Pepsi bottle into a vase, or a tea cup into a pen stand. Change the look of the item you're about to throw away and put it to good use. An expert will give a demonstration on how almost everything can turn into something useful or a work of art.

The Junkyard Sale

This workshop can be combined with the Magic from Castaways workshop.
Here we organise a Sale on Barter terms. Those participants whose objects are not sold are collected together and made into one grand trophy for the organisation.

The Puppet Workshop

This workshop is similar to the theme of Magic from Castaways. Here we show you how most items which we would normally throw away, like a used paper bag, a fruit juice pack or an old spectacle case, can be turned into a Puppet. A puppet expert creatively demonstrates the use of puppets for communicating any message, voice controlling and drama techniques with puppets. Each team is encouraged to make their own puppets and enact a skit using them.

Organic Gardening with composting

Do you enjoy gardening? Have you ever wondered how a forest grows? Who takes care of the waste in a forest? We take you on a nature trail of a different kind, where you walk around a forest created on 4 feet of garbage, and discover its process of transformation from garbage to gold. Observe the process of vermi composting and other simple composting techniques easy to practice in your own garden. Learn interesting gardening techniques which make use of natural materials.

Duration: Morning from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon

Location: In a Nature Park or in your campus.

Coconut Wonders

The coconut palm is the most useful palm in the world. Every part of the tree is useful to human life for some purpose or the other. Hence, the coconut palm is endearingly called ‘kalpavriksha’ meaning the tree of heaven or wish fulfilling tree. Learn to weave mats like the locals, make a bird feeder or a trophy out of coconut shells, rope, husk and leaves. Team work is involved as you weave your mats and make your unique trophy. There’s lots more to learn from the humble coconut and the country villagers who have expert knowledge on the use of this wonder tree.

Natural colours workshop

Traditionally the colours used by us in cloth or for printing, for playing Holi or any other purpose were natural ones. This workshop gives you an interesting learning experience with natural dyes in dyeing and printing of textiles. Every participant gets to make his own 1/2 metre of dyed and printed fabric using eco-friendly natural dyes and pigments. You can also sample some naturally-dyed garments at the end.
In case you choose this workshop during Holi, we can create a colourful holi program involving the use of all natural colours in water base.

The Mural Workshop

Learn interesting wall murals from the village lifestyle in the Kutch part of India. Make fun and creative murals from clay with the help of rural artisans.

Bamboo Handicraft workshop

Learn to weave a bamboo mat, a bamboo basket, or a bamboo pen stand from experts in the field of handicrafts. Its fun, it’s easy and very creative.

The Pottery workshop

The touch of the earth, mud-filled hands shaping a creation of your own. Pottery is a soothing, creative activity, it is great fun and makes you appreciate the hard work that goes into every single pot. Bring out your natural creative instincts on a potter’s wheel or make an artifact out of your own hands itself. The touch and smell of earth and the rush of creativity is too good to resist.

Duration: 3 to 4 hours

Location: Indoors in a conference hall or in the lawns of the corporate campus, at a potters workshop or even at campsite.

Tribal Art workshop

The Tribal art workshop introduces you to the lifestyle of tribals, the joy they experienced in the simplest of work chores, farming, marriage ceremonies and many other events in their lives.
You can learn to draw and paint the fun way first on paper and then on stoles or pots, using natural colours used by the tribes. Paint the walls or if indoors your own stole or a earthern pot in red, brown or white, the traditional way with creative motifs the way the tribals do it. Make your own designs and have fun!
